Hello! I’m planning a roadtrip in estonia and I need some help understanding the laws on camping. I got recommended the rmk app and was told that camping is legal in state owned forests, is this true? If so, can i camp in protected areas aswell? On the app many campsites are located in protected areas of state owned forests. So what im trying to find out is if i can camp in protected areas even if there is no designated camp site.
Added pictures for reference (green areas are state forests and red ones are protected areas of those forests)

Maybe…you know, use search and read? I know I may sound a bit of asshole, but this topic has been answered numerous times already.

Each nature reserve has its own protection rule (kaitse-eeskiri) which sets the rules there.
Generally all of those say that “*Camping and bonfires in the protected area are allowed only in places prepared for this purpose and marked by the manager of the protected area.”*
Both areas shown in the images have this rule. Image 1 Laulasmaa landscape protection area and image 2 Suurupi nature reserve.
