I’m a bit confused about the ‘N_min’ in the modified Bavarian formula. Is it the minimum grade needed to pass a course or the minimum cumulative GPA needed to pass the degree. For example, to make my doubt a bit clearer, in my university, the minimum passing grade for a course is E (2/10) BUT the minimum cumulative GPA one has to maintain to GRADUATE is 4.5. So in this case, will N_min be 2 or 4.5?

I would assume the one to pass the grad. Otherwise you could not reach a 4.0
