  4. I have no great love for McEntee but I can easily see her being a scapegoat for Fine Gaels collective failures on justice for the last decade.

  5. Surely that is a basic requirement of surviving inside the world of politics? when someone is always ready to shaft you, use anything against you and jump into your position. Your best bet is to keep them guessing what you’re true intentions actually are.

    I suspect Leo will give her enough rope to kill off any delusions of grandeur that she has about becoming the next party leader.

  8. That’s madness. If the feeling was that Simon Harris was one of their brightest stars then fair enough but her?! She’ll spend her days trying to bring in populist, unnecessary laws but no drive to actually enforce existing laws.

    Better to have no Justice minister than her, at least we would save on her salary.

    Tl;dr, serious [financial fraud ](https://www.broadsheet.ie/2017/06/20/a-templemore-timeline/) in the Gardaí, but rather than deal with it, the whistle blower is prosecuted.

    Leo cannot justify this. Helen, as useless as she is, is the scapegoat.
