In rural areas it can fall to 50-60% in some countries. But I guess they don’t count mobile phone Internet access but only phonelines
To think that back in 1997 I was one of the few 2-3 % with a computer and Internet in my country
With how common smartphones are, I would’ve expected it to be higher throughout. I thought my grandfather’s generation were the last holdouts, and they’re getting rarer and rarer.

I’d like to see the definition of Internet access. Is it including mobile data access or just permanent fiber/DSL connections?
Can’t really call “internet” what the Germans have
