  1. Finally. It’s madness it’s been allowed to remain idle all this time

  2. This is fantastic news, it’s an absolute eyesore at present.

More housing and and a small uplift to the area

  3. There is a massive back log of asylum seekers waiting to be housed they better hurry up and finish it.

  4. Brian and Luke Comer have owned it so since 2011, they last submitted plans in 2017 to develop the site for office space. Office space has dropped in value hence a new application. Wait till they get permission, it’ll up the value, and then they’ll hoard it for longer or sell it. If they sell it, it’ll probably lay idle until the new owners try to get a second tower on the site or something stupid. The cycle will then repeat. Just like what’s happening all over the city.

  5. There’s an apartment block almost identical to this near the beacon hospital. And it looks great (and very Fucking expensive)
But would you not be freaked out? It’s mad skinny and you’re living on a sliver of concrete.. anyways. Good to see this kinda thing happening at last. We need more of this

  6. Why not rent an office and stay in it.

    😉

    Edit adding Dublin.

Also do a wee bit of googling seen some places on other sites folk could totally get away with staying in if they kept it on the down low.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a fair few people doing it already.

  7. This will likely have to be torn down and started from scratch, won’t it? It’s been sitting there like that picture for 15 years…

Anyway this will be for apartments that’ll go for 2 or 3k a month.

  8. Sandford will be losing part of that iconic skyline that they have used to block houses, once this beautiful, wonderful building is destroyed with the likes of windows, walls, and other habitable features.
