Does anybody else hate how Americans pluralize ‘pierogi’ into ‘pierogies’?

  3. When used along with English, Pierogi becomes a cognate and is then managed by English grammar rules, not Polish grammar rules. So it’s technically correct.

    And, yes, it bothers me.

    I know this is an unpopular take here but why would you expect a foreign language to follow our grammatical rules?

    Especially when we say things like chipsy and jeansy.
