“The head of Luxembourg’s Real Estate Chamber, Jean-Paul Scheuren, estimates that 1,000 fewer dwellings will be built in 2023 and expects a 50% decrease in construction of new flats in 2024 compared to 2022.”

That’s another marketing article for someone with deep pockets that are not filling as fast as they use to be and might be running dry.
Quote:
*“Are enough homes being built?*
*To get an understanding of whether enough new homes are being created, it is helpful to compare the new dwellings statistics with population.*
*First, let’s look at the new dwellings figures again, this time plotted against population growth (in absolute terms).*”
That analysis is incomplete.
Let me try a (dry) joke (sorry, a bit tired):
“*To get an understanding of whether I have enough petrol for my trip, its helpful to compare the petrol needed for the distance.*”
Guess what, I went to the petrol station to fuel in 50 liters that I needed and realized I already had 20 in the fuel tank, so maybe I don’t actually need the 50?
