Its cool because the stucture was made recalling styles like assyrian-babylonian, egyptian and greco-roman architecture(Eclecticism, basically borrowing all different style and combining them)
The building itself is fine but the square dome is an eyesore.

La Punto d’ordinanza parcheggiata davanti 😍
Go to the place in this picture. Go to the left of this building on the other side of the street. There’s a jewish baker that only bakes this weird sweet that looks a little off putting because it looks like burnt bread with olives (they’re not olives).
It’s amazing.
Can anyone translate the Hebrew text?
The [Great Synagogue of Rome attack](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Synagogue_of_Rome_attack), which was carried out by armed Palestinian terrorists at the entrance to the Great Synagogue of Rome, took place on 9 October 1982 at 11:55 a.m. A 2-year-old toddler, Stefano Gaj Taché, was killed in the attack, while 37 civilians were injured.
The ghetto is also worth a visit
I do not really like it, it is not particularly exceptional to me.
>Documents show Italy ignored warnings ahead of 1982 terror attack on Rome synagogue
>Uncovered cables seem to confirm reports that Rome signed deal with Palestinian terror groups to ignore attacks against Jews, in exchange for them not hitting other Italian targets
Beautiful synagogue! Sending love and support to my Jewish brothers and sisters in Italy, stay strong 💕
If you are in this neighborhood, you should try some Roman-Jewish food.

When was it built? In 18th century?

Artichokes, Jewish style or “Carciofi alla giudia” -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carciofi_alla_giudia
They are completely milking Jewish tourists around that building. Prices seemed 1.5 – 2x as high as elsewhere lol
Looks gorgeous! Want to see it
