  1. City life has not made urban foxes any cleverer than those in the countryside, according to the study.

A team from the University of Hull spent two years studying wild foxes in 104 locations in England and Scotland by leaving them tasks to do for rewards.

  2. I moved to the countryside and actually saw a fox in my garden with a bloody rabbit in its mouth.

This felt strange, as I’m so used to living in the city seeing them rooting through bins to try and get to the old KFC packaging to lick it!

  3. That’s because the little delinquents are always hanging around the streets and gardens rather than going to school

  4. We live in a pretty rural area and sometimes get a fox turning on the security light at the side, before coming into the garden and drinking out of the pond. We call him Paul and Paul is a lot bigger and far healthier-looking than the urban Foxes in London that my friends sometimes send me photos of.

While it’s the smallest of sample sizes I like to think that Paul’s diet of rats, mice and rabbits is a lot more nutritious than leftover KFC, kebabs and chip shop chips.

  5. ive probably seen urban foxes about 5 times in my life and 2 of them were in the past week. not sure if more are appearing in cities now or just coincidence
