All jokes aside, I wouldn’t put it past the Russian regime to make the environment in the occupied territories so freaking polluted it practically becomes uninhabitable. They could dump toxic nuclear waste there too, and all sorts of other stuff we can’t even imagine. It’s not unthinkable. The Russians pretend that they liberated these territories, but we know they don’t really care about the locals. And they may want to ruin these areas just in case Ukraine takes them back.
