As an immigrant I will never not be fascinated that someone being assaulted somewhere in the country actually makes a nationwide news here. On the one hand it’s great that it’s not so common that it’s still worth reporting. On the other hand it’s panic mongering at its finest.
FG HQ currently scrambling to figure out if this was a yank or not so they can get ahead of booking out Dundalk based photographers and, of course, making sure the Gardaí are available to escort McEntee, and another important FG TD, for a potential photo op.
