  1. Maybe they should stop charging so much for their brand name? I can get an almost identical supermarket own-brand product for a third of the cost, so that’s what I get.

  2. They’re quite expensive and there are quite a few options out there now. I don’t think this says anything about the brand particularly, just that there is a lot of competition out there now.

  3. Probably because it’s eye-wateringly expensive.

I rarely eat this kind of processed veggie food but will get some for BBQs (not many chances this year!) and there are so many competitors at better prices that I’ll just get those instead.

  4. Reduce your prices, then! The beyond sausages cost $19.95AUD at my neighborhood vegan grocery store. For $9 AUD, my neighborhood general store sells Beyond Meat patties.

  5. they’ve always been out of stock when I’ve checked recently. But the shelf is full of cheaper alternates anyway now

  6. The only vegan food I actually enjoy is the stuff they put in the vegan sausage rolls at Greggs.
It doesn’t taste like meat though it just taste kinda fishy.
And you can do some awesome things with beans, lentils andchickpeas, just ask the Arabs they’ve got it down.

  7. None of the vegans I know care much for products like Beyond Meat or similar meat substitutes – they were interested in the general idea when they first came out, but in general just prefer cooking nice vegan food from scratch over having some ersatz meat imitation.

I think that’s where they’re going to have issues. People tried them as a novelty and are getting tired of them.
