  1. …unless you have a qualifying underlying health condition.

Sounds no different to last year?

  2. The headline could have been that the government is following the advice of the independent experts, but the Guardian apparently wants you to think the government is doing something wrong.

    >Government accepts advice from JCVI which says only at-risk groups and those aged 65 and over should be offered vaccines

  3. I don’t understand why they don’t offer it to everyone who wants it???

I don’t want to get super sick and I don’t want to hide away inside.

  4. I mean, it’s not like we can all just get a flu jab…..

  5. > Covid boosters will be offered to residents in care homes for older adults, those aged six months to 64 in clinical risk groups, frontline health and social care workers, people aged 12 to 64 who are carers or household contacts of people with immunosuppression, and all adults aged 65 and over.

    and

    > The government said in May that people in England under 65 would not be offered flu jabs this winter. It means about 12 million people aged 50 to 64 are no longer eligible for either free flu or Covid-19 vaccines.

  6. This is disgusting. It is an attack on the middle aged. This age group still has to go out to work so will pick it up & could get very I’ll. if it was a risky age group before then why is it suddenly not now. They just want to kill is off to avoid paying pensions.

  7. So we are guaranteed a very bad winter for the NHS again; yet more staff leave; its decline accelerates – and private healthcare solidifies its hold.

It’s not even subtle at this point.

  8. Why do they keep going on about pre-existing health conditions?

COVID CAUSES HEALTH CONDITIONS FOR FUCK SAKE! So many previously healthy people are developing MECFS or POTS or MCAS from an infection.

Jesus fucking Christ how are we not understanding this??
