Interesting. I realize once more that I don’t know much about the origins of the turkish people.
It’s like, there was the byzantine empire, and suddenly the ottomans came out of nowhere and conquered it.
But the ottomans were already muslim. Where did they come from and what religion did they have before converting to islam?
I have to hit Wikipedia some time soon. 🙂
So the Turks had a pre-islamic two headed eagle god and ended up battling a completely different culture that also used the double headed eagle symbol?
What this got to do with Europe?

If the Turks had not joined Islam and migrated from Central Asia to the west, that is, to Europe, the world would have been a completely different place today.
Major events likely to happen;
-Islam could not have been this popular, it would have remained only in and around Arabia or it would have disappeared.
-The Russians could not conquer North Asia and would not be as strong as they are today.
-The Dark Age, that is, the Middle Ages in Europe, would continue to last for many more years because there would be no one to take Constantinople and Byzantium would be destroyed later or not at all. etc.
and the events that took place throughout history after the Migration of Tribes in World history would most likely have been experienced differently or not experienced at all.
When I think of these, I think of an interesting world. 😋

Then I remembered Virgin Mary.

Erlic Nomin Khan is still one of the gods in Kalmykian buddhism. Probably in Mongolian too. He is kind of a boss in the hell. Interesting to see something in common between Turks and Kalmyks.
Tengri sounds similar to Tangra, the main god Bulgarians worshiped when they arrived in the Balkans.
