Wonder how much of each country’s exports are to their immediate neighbours.
Ireland is definitely punching above it’s population but I doubt we’d be so high if NI wasn’t part of a foreign country.
Mexico is top for a while eh?
Still can’t find Modelo Especial anywhere but up north.
Fuckin brits. Never not at it
Never knew we had been top for exports
It’s probably InBev that has Mexico so far out ahead. Looks like Heiniken did a good job on turning the Netherlands in to a beer producing super power.
Germany is mad, there are so many beers in a diffuse market that it seems no megabrewery ever managed to establish one German beer as being the single global brand everyone thinks of when they think German beer.
See Brexit just kicked the uk right in the dick there.
Our poor old flag getting increasingly mangled as the export rankings go down….
Another example of Ireland’s long history as an industrialised, developed country.
Mexico’s numbers are huge. Assume that is pretty much made up of Corona and Modelo into the US market.
But what beers do Russia have? Is it just something that’s exported to former USSR countries?
And France? Is that just predominantly Kronenbourg? The only other french beer I ever see (desperadoes) would have been quite rare.
I’m also a little surrpised by Belgium’s numbers. I would have thought their beers were more viewed as speciality etc. That there was no “big” belgian beer.
