Written in Romanian: “Here lie the remains of Adolf Hittler. Died October 26, 1892 at the age of 60 years. Pray for his soul,”.
The chronicler of the Jewish Romanians, Marius Mircu, wrote in a book entitled “Philanthropy, a graveyard full of life” that Adolf Hittler owned a workshop and a hat shop in downtown Bucharest. He emigrated to Romania from Bukovina, a region which was part of Austria back then. Hittler died when the future dictator was aged 3.
An English article has been published in 1933 by the Daily Mirror depicting this grave, laws in Nazi Germany were written so that Hitler couldn’t be persecuted in case he was found to have jewish origins.
