The web of innocence just seems to be unraveling for someone.

Seems to me that the excavator equipment could indeed be the metaphorical “smoking gun” in all this. The timeline of the equipment is very telling in itself.
The owners had only owned the Crooked House for a couple of weeks before the fire burned it down. The excavator was delivered to them a week and a half ago, meaning it was delivered within a few days of the owners completing the purchase of the property. And, more importantly, it was hired BEFORE the fire.
Now, the owners in question have their own landfill sites and are registered as the owners of their own plant hire company. Why did they not bring in one of their own vehicles? Surely a landfill company, and plant hire service could have supplied their own machinery, so what was the purpose of going to an external company to hire this piece of machinery? To ensure the machinery wasn’t linked to their names perhaps?
All questions that need to be answered in due course.
Until they name the fuckhead who burnt down and then demolished the property, fuck’em.
I wonder if Mystic Meg will become like Gordon Bennett as this point, her name will just live on in a phrase.
