  1. Fuck him. I won’t have any respect for any Garda commissioner until there is one that comes along and chooses to actually makes Gards do their jobs and not just the easy ones.

Til then they can all go fuck themselves.

  2. Do you want mass resignations?

Because this is how you get mass resignations.

  3. “The Garda Commissioner was appointed by the Government after a fair and free process that people can apply for, and we stand over that appointment and we have confidence in him,” Mr Varadkar said.

  4. Always found it a strange appointment from the offset. given his family history. Varadkar just sticking it to Sinn Fein i felt, was the reasoning.

  5. Classic Unionist. Plug your ears, dig your heels in and continue to fight against something that everybody wants.

A complete and utter failure at his job, and also, evidently, a complete fucking arsehole.

I never expected much from a sectarian RUC man, but he somehow didn’t even reach that *incredibly* low barrier.

  6. I think it was a good move to get somebody in that wasn’t serving with the ngaaaaardai already. If he does go, I think it should be more of the same. Cronyism is the backbone of corruption.

  7. He was hired as a first baby step towards integration north south.
There’s a fuck ton goes on behind the scenes like that that we don’t see or know about. Yet.
He’s also ‘former’ MI5 but how former?
Nobody could have planned for the pandemic or predicted the outcomes in terms of what it’s done in terms of street level criminality.
But it’s gonna be interesting to see how this all shakes out
