Hi, I hope this is ok to post this kind of question.

On Monday 27.12 I will be landing in Aarhus. I just received an e-mail from Ryanair informing me that I need to have a PCR/Anti-Gen test done before arrival.

“From 27 December 2021, the Danish Government will introduce a COVID-19 test requirement for all persons without residence in Denmark prior to entry. A PCR test must be taken no later than 72 hours before entry, and a quick antigen test must be taken no later than 48 hours before entry.
People residing in Denmark can either take a test before entering Denmark or take a test within 24 hours after entry.”

So does it mean I need to have the PCR test done before Friday 24.12 at 12:10 (which is 72 hours before I land) or between Friday 24.12, 12:10 and Monday 27.12, 12:10.

The part “no later than 72 hours before entry” is confusing because it suggests that I should have the test before Friday 24.12 at 12:10.

I know this doesn’t make sense. All my prior flights had similar requirements but they were phrased a bit better (that I have a window of 72 hours before arrival to get tested – or similar).

I am vaccinated and boosted. So such a test is not a problem. However, the way the new requirements are written is giving me a bit of a headache.

If you are not aware Denmark introduced new temp regulations for travelers: https://sum.dk/nyheder/2021/december/der-indfoeres-midlertidigt-testkrav-forud-for-indrejse-

Thanks and Happy Holidays.

I will post it to different subreddits, because the matter is quite urgent.

  1. The requirement is either a PCR test no older than 72 hours on arrival, or an antigen test no older than 48 hours on arrival.

So if you get a PCR test on the 26th and arrive on the 27th, you are within your 72 hour window.
