ITV seem to be impervious to scandal – Schofield, the Love Island suicides, Jeremy Kyle, Clarkson etc. I’m guessing the rot goes right to the top.
ITV had been the daily mail of TV for quite a while so this is hardly surprising.
The surprise is that it was not alleged earlier, say a few days after Philip Schofield’s departure.
I’m not at all surprised, the whole show always felt so phoney. I bet X Factor was the same.
I’ve met Dermot O’Leary a couple of times though, he seems like a decent guy.
I believe Rylan Clark-Neal has hinted about this and it is why he does not appear on the show. He and Dr Singh both seem like nice, genuine people (my sister met Rylan at work and said he was really friendly) so I am inclined to believe them. ITV are desperate to maintain ratings but have no idea what to do with the show these days, especially having lost one of their biggest stars on the network. That is never going to lead to a good work environment.
