I am one of those russians who flocked to Cyprus in the last couple of years, and in my experience most of the people, who came because of the war and mass repressions – avoid occupied territory like a plague. I met two russian speaking people that live in occupied part – one tried to scam me, and another turned out to be a putin-loving vatnik moron, who lives there for the last 10 years and believes in truly bizzare conspiracy theories.
And yes, Russian population on Cyprus is getting out of hand, but very big part of that is IT and financial companies permanently moving their whole business to the island and relocating thousands of highly educated people with European mindset. I hope that it will not turn out bad in the end ( in other words – please, don’t throw us out  ).
