Firstly, using the term “top german official” instead of noting he’s the goddamn minister for health, or just naming Lauterbach, is kind of shortselling the source here.
But also, it’s worth noting that german sources on the topic say that the proposal will be discussed, not necessarily that the cabinet intends to approve it and send it to the Bundesrat next week. It’s getting close, but not necessarily 100% there yet.
