I once saw a decorative metal plate on a house and thought it was a neat one of a kind thing. It wasn’t until years later that I noticed another similarly sized one with a different design on another house. Ever since then, I’m noticing them everywhere, and I like them even more. What the heck are they called?! Searching for “decorative metal plate in Germany” has been rather unhelpful, and I feel like there must be some kind of history behind them.
