Are microwaves not very common in Norway? We are living in Trondheim for a few months for work in a lovely furnished flat that does not include a microwave oven. We have had this kind of furnished flat in many Northern European cities and they have always included a microwave. Is this just an anomaly or is this a Norwegian thing?

  1. It’s kind of like a tv. some have one others don’t. And its a thing people often bring with them when they move. Same as other similar utilities like airfryer or coffee machine.

  2. They are common, but I’m not sure it’s common to include them in furnished flats for rent.

  3. This is very common, but not always included in a furnished flat with what we call «hvitevarer»/kitchen appliances such as refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. Since this is something you can take with you.

  4. There is no hard rules on this. Some does include it, some does not.

  5. Know a lot of people that doesn’t have it.
I don’t need it for other than quick heating fleshlights.

  6. They’re often not built in but live on the kitchen counter next to the kettle.

  7. I am curious as to the purpose of the glass partition in the window sill. I have never seen anything like that before.
