A video appeared that shows the damaged Russian oil tanker Sig that was attacked by maritime drones last week.

7. The hull is likely salvageable. Not so sure about propulsion. Likely she is diesel-electric drive. The diesel engines may have been able to survive flooding. But the diesels likely spin generators which in turn spin the props. If the generators and electric drive motors were flooded that could mean their replacement.

   Supposedly she did not have a cargo onboard. If she was light she would be sitting much higher. It is likely she was “in ballast” meaning she had seawater in her tanks to stabilize her.

   Superficially it looks like she was able to contain flooding but unable to pump her ballast out. One would think you would deballast as soon as possible to get as much water out as possible.

   Either this video was taken as soon as she was docked or there is more going on. Perhaps they can not deballast without destabilizing. These things do jot tolerate a while lot if heal, 15° is a whole lot, but recoverable. Above that other factors, such as the “free surface effect” (tldr) can rapidly destabilize and roll her.

   I believe all the above is accurate but others may have a better take.
