Hello r/poland

I’m a freelance journalist from Italy working on a piece about Wladyslaw Szewezyk, a footballer who played for Cracovia in 1948, the year they won the league title.

My research primarily revolves around events from the Second World War. I’ve previously translated the Italian edition of Anne Frank’s Diary among other related works. I’ve come across indications suggesting that Szewezyk might have been a prisoner in an Italian concentration camp, particularly in Pisticci, before joining Cracovia.

If anyone here has information about Szewezyk, both regarding his football journey and personal life, or can connect me to any of his family members or heirs, I’d be immensely grateful. I will gladly share the published article with the community once it’s ready.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Warm regards,
A freelance journalist from Italy.
