I’ve been working in Oslo as a chef since February. The months of May and June I worked a lot. Around 260-280h each month. Now the manager of the restaurant I work at got a report from Arbeidstilsynet that I’ve been working too much and now I’m not allowed to work at the same place at all. They cut my hours down to 79 this month and the next month of September I’m not allowed to work there at all. So they sent me working at a different place owned by the same big company. That way I have 80h for the month at both places totalling at 160h for the month which will give me a somewhat normal salary and I’ll be able to survive. In September I would have been working 100% at that second place in order to survive, but fortunately I have scheduled two weeks off and I may not have to work these two jobs anymore after August. Now the cherry on top is that the agency that my manager got this report from also found out that I haven’t been payed overtime money for multiple hours from several weeks (see photo). Because I’m already exhausted from working two jobs and I’m pissed off that nobody told me about that if I work a lot a few months I won’t be able to work at all the following months, I already want to quit. I’ll give my notice these days because I have to work the whole of Septeember anyways since we’re half way through August already. Question is, am I entitled to some kind of interest on top of the money they owe me already? I know it’s not a lot, but I just want to get back at them with the bureaucracy they’re hitting me with now. I might delete this post sooner or later when I get some answers as I’m afraid of some of my bosses seeing it. Thanks in advance for your answers.

Also, if someone is in need of chefs in fine dining, ships or hotels, you can PM me. I need a job by the end of September.
