I see them all over the place, Police has them also (at least in Basel)
What is your experience owning one? I heard that in Basel-Stadt is not legal to have a specefic car charger for example…
The most popular model is the model Y made in Berlin, how is the build quality?
There are any incentives in buying eletric? Tax benefits?
Are you abel to use Tesla insurance diretly?
And finally.. Do you invest in tesla?

There’s many other nice electric cars. Why would you buy anything from Space Karen
My neighbour had one and he hated it.
We have the [best electric vehicles](https://www.sbb.ch/de) in Switzerland. Some of them have even been [driverless](https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ligne_M2_du_métro_de_Lausanne) for decades.
Late to the investing party
I have a Model 3, I like it. Very smooth, comfortable ride, Autopilot is amazing on road trips. And I love all the tech around it and I’m really excited for the time when FSD is launched in Europe.
Not sure what you mean by not legal to have a charger.
Build quality of Teslas has been fine for years now, cerainly not worse than any other car. I personally had no issues.
Some kantons have tax benefits. Fuel (electricity) may or may not be cheaper than gas depending on your location and personal situation. If you are lucky (e.g. able to charge at home on residential power), it can be a _lot_ cheaper. Maintenance is rare, certainly a lot cheaper than gas cars. There are some other fringe benefits such as the occasional free charger at hotels and restaurants, lower / free highway vignettes in some countries, no issues around entering low-emission zones, etc.
There’s no Tesla Insurance in Switzerland.
Yes I’m an investor. I was an investor long before buying the car.

Pretty average to be honest – think VW Golf or equivalent. Rather cheap plastic and everyhing that could be removed was removed to keep the cost down (hence the massive tablet and no buttons anywhere). You’ll be fine if you’re used to ~25k CHF car range with VWs, Skodas or Renaults… but if you want your 50k+ build quality and comfort you’re not getting it here.
The biggest upside of Teslas is… they’re cheap and have a good range. That’s kinda it, they’re the cheapest “good” EV out there with their 45k CHF price tag. The charger network is also fine, but they don’t charge all that fast anymore (e.g. Ioniq 5 has a much faster charging capability, which is great for longer trips).
The rest of good EVs are much more expensive (Ioniqs are like 60k for good equipment package, VWs are 50kish, Mercedes and Audi go up over 80k).
I’m sure you can get one for a test drive at Tesla salon in Zurich or somewhere else.
They look good and the acceleration from those electric engines is a great rush. But overall Tesla fails in luxury, all detailing is plastic-y and the charging issues get old if you’re in a hurry. My experience is based off the Model S.
I wont go near anything waht belongs to that Moron Called Elon Musk.
