Try vodafon, they suck as a contract partner, but they can provide internet via the cable TV infrastructure, which is often faster than old copper lines.
And yes, there are still places where internet is really bad. Infrastructure in Germany is privatized and companies will often only connect entire streets or quarters not single houses, at least not at a reasonable price. If you have to many seniors in your neighborhood, you don’t get connected.
That’s outright criminal in 2023. I’d want compensation for such speeds.
Mine is even worse … 2-4 . I have LTE at the moment .
