Seems from the article that Tubs will be getting his contract renewed and it was never in any doubt either. Quote from the article:
“Mr Bakhurst told the Sunday Independent there have been no discussions about the termination of Tubridy’s contract and that the talks are focused solely on his getting back to his 9am show on RTÉ Radio 1.”

Way to make even less people pay TV license ~ why does he wanna come back anyways? I thought BBC, CNN or whatever are after home that’s why he earned the big bucks no? Let them take him.

Tubridy – “I want €350,000 per year”
RTÉ – “Nonsense. You’ll get €450,000 and like it.”
What the fuck does that even mean? “We’re not offering him more than he wants”?
Would have been stated long before now if he wasn’t coming back,the show is back in September.
He really did not a lot wrong to be fair.
Joe is on three hundred grand for an hour and a half or whatever he does. By that reackoning Tubs should be on two hundred minimum.
I wonder have they done any research or polling or focus groups to find out if people actually want him back?
My own reading from it socially and online is nobody does want him back.
