Hello all, I apologize if this question was already posted, I couldn’t find anything with my limited knowledge of Czech. I was just wondering if there are some US military bases in the Czech Republic, and I couldn’t find any. I also came across an [article from 2022](https://www.euractiv.com/section/politics/short_news/czechia-could-establish-us-military-base-on-its-territory/) about possibly opening a base here, so I just wanted to know your opinion on it, how likely you think this will happen, and anything connected to this topic.
Edit: if you want to leave a comment, you can of course do it in Czech, I’m happy for any opportunity to practice the language 🙂

It is good idea. We are small, we have flashbacks from Munich Agreement in 1938.
I’m under no illusions. If it comes to breaking bread, the West will not help us again. With a base in the Czech Republic, the US would essentially be attacked and would have to act.

Absolutely. Even if it will end up not doing too much, just angering the elderly will be worth it.
Used to be against that, but after the russian invasion began, I’m supportive of a US base in our country now.
I’m OK with it if they pay a fair rent for being allowed a base here. I don’t believe it’s necessary for our security or shit like that, but on the other hand, I think it’s also kinda harmless. Definitely no nuke facilities tho.
