There is a public right of way across the end of our runway, dog walkers often stop there to watch the planes land. Not the brightest thing to do as the tow plane is trailing 60m of cable with a steel ring on the end of it… “Oh but we are entitled to be here”, that is the normal response when we point out the dangers…
One lot even stopped there to have their lunch, undeliverable!! You can’t hear a glider landing, perhaps it would be better to stop in a safer location…..
