  1. Are we really in a position to decline to have Gardai coming on board for something as trivial as this?

  2. If they had them on their face maybe. Bizzare.

  3. Perhaps it was an anti fascism tattoo and they just couldn’t see it working out

  4. Well that was a stupid decision, members of the Gardaí should mirror society in general and tattoos are a part of that.

Not every Garda needs to be a culchie who says veh-hi-cle.

  5. One of them had one behind his ear – maybe that was viewed like a face one.

  6. FFS Some context in both reports would be useful…

Was it a swastika or a “Mum” tattoo, I take it there would be different reactions to them. Also state bodies need to wake up to modern culture.

  7. So it’s ok to be overweight and incapable of running 20 metres, but not ok to have tattoos?

  8. I presume there most have been some other context to this? Otherwise it seems a bit wild…

Fair enough if it was something offensive or maybe if it was something crime/gang associated given its the guards…😂

  9. Ridiculous. Unless the tattoos are gang related or swastikas or something notoriously associated with being a PoS we NEED MORE GUARDS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT IN THIS FUCKING COUNTRY.

  10. Tbh if I saw a Garda with a load of tattoos I’d be more inclined to trust them/relate to them and see them as help instead of the typical 40/50 year old Garda overweight, bullied in school and a god complex … but maybe that’s just me

  11. Can’t be upstaging Helen on the next photo op with a sick ass Kermit the frog neck tattoo
