Hey guys,
I’ve been looking into where I should invest my money and it’s been a lot of headache as I started from scratch knowing nothing. However, it appears that global index funds are a good alternative for long-term savings.
I’ve been looking around and so far what I’ve found are these funds from MeDirect:

Is this something you can recommend?
What do you think are the best global index funds and with which banks in Malta are you able to get them?
What do you think is a good risk factor from 1 to 7? As much as I love making money, I hate losing money so not sure what to go with.

Hey, I think this notes I prepared for a course I will be teaching may be helpful for you, on the investing chapter I explain what to look for on a index fund and how to understand them.

My personal advice would be to avoid local brokers, they are too expensive, you can get better service for cheaper using an international broker like Interactive brokers.
Now to answer your question, in my opinion the best UCITS compliant global index funds available are the below two options.

Also I noticed that the link you shared is specifically for actively managed funds, avoid those ones too. Check for Index Fund ETFs
