What are your views on the AfD? (I’m a foreigner so idk much)

  1. A partial screenshot of an article you don’t even link to is not a proper way to start a conversation with strangers.

  2. It’s a fascist party. Beyond even ones own opinion, it’s objectively horrible in every way.

  3. A court has established that he’s a fascist, so…

Referring to your removed comment – no, the AfD would not solve any problems, and has no interest in doing so. Some of them are on record saying “the worse Germany is off, the better for us”. The only thing they are interested in is finding scapegoats.

  4. Love them! I wish stuff would be “normal” and the AFD would not make sense. But the left and right parties make more sense at this point.

  5. Nazi Party of the 21st century. I just wait for them to be banned already.

  6. Frameing this as “ideology” is totally wrong, and this is an example why Höcke is a demagogue. It is UN convention that people with special needs have a right for equal treatment (hence inclusion to normal schools).

But we do have in principle a system of special needs schools (Förderschulen) here. Pupils with special needs should have the possibility to choose between regular schools and special needs schools. Both schools should ideally offer equal education so that the choice is made based on the special needs exclusively and not on other parameters.

I am not sure what the quality (in this case budget/personnel/availability/overall situation) of special needs schools are. Also I am not sure what quality of inclusion to normal schools is available. Maybe someone can elaborate?

  7. A foreigner here, Höcke is one of the crazies in the party, if not the craziest, the fact he’s still operating as a member without getting kicked out is bizarre, but also completely expected at this point. Afterall he’s a fascist; a label backed up by a court ruling. Think of him as Trump in the US, or Farrage in the UK, or Le Pin in France, that’s their equivalent.

  8. The AfD is extreme by any sensible measure. Obviously those who support the party would never admit that it’s extreme, but I’ve seen AfD supporters describing a coalition of politicians ranging from the SPD to the CSU as “leftist”, and you have to be *very* far right to think the CSU is left-wing. It wants to “solve” the refugee crisis by (illegally) refusing to accept refugees — it recently proposed a change in the law allowing municipalities to refuse to house refugees and to allocate refugees only to those states that explicitly gave their consent. That’s an extreme solution.

This one about kicking disabled children out of schools is another seriously extreme proposal. He called the inclusion of disabled children an “ideology project” from which schools must be “freed”, and thus wants to violate the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities that Germany signed in 2008.

Seriously, this man thinks that a child in a wheelchair doesn’t deserve an education. That’s just abhorrant.

  9. POS pure Nazi Party. Very dangerous… just read their program. Horrible…

  10. FCKadf. I feel so much shame for this part of our society. Even worse I came to the conclusion that most of their voters are not desinformed retards, they are retards who exactly want the same as fckafd.

  11. Höcke is even too radical for its own party and this says a lot already.

  12. It had some good points in its program last time, but the good is massively overshadowed by the bad, not even mentioning the ugly, proposals. Those guys want to get rid of the Euro, exit the EU, they (or affiliates of them) tried to stage a coup… They are a wannabes NSDAP, but they are failing miserably at that. And the ties to Russia – I appreciated the apparent reconciliation with the East earlier, but now it’s just making me wary

  13. Seeing AfD at 21% gives me anxiety, I’m not going to lie. I’ve recently started cycling into rural areas because I find it very relaxing and I like watching farmers at work, but I am very self conscious of myself and my skin colour in case anyone from there feels like I’m intruding on their village or whatever. It’s obviously probably mostly unfounded because it’s my personal problem and nobody is probably even paying attention to me, but it is what it is.

  14. Racism and fascism is again and we do nothing against them, just a matter of time until they get 25 percent or even more and do something idiotic like the Brexit.
