People who pay these crazy prices are part of the problem. But what this shows clearly is this fantasy that the free market will regulate prices in favour of consumers is a complete failure
On Saturday I paid €3 for four 1.5L bottles of this in my local Tesco.
Why do people in Ireland buy bottled water?
We have no choice but to pay it since there is no other source of drinkable water.
They’re not ‘trying’to charge €3. The *are* charging €3 and you have the choice whether to pay it or not. Convenience stores are always way more expensive.
How much was the cheapest water?
Supervalue €0.55 for 2 litres.
Go there for water.
So just don’t buy it, simple
Looks like Dunnes…..
2l is probably cheaper, and better
Ah the daily “A convenience store is expensive” post.
Vote with your feet. Bulk buy bottles in supermarkets if you really want bottled water day to day.
It’s fairly simple – don’t pay stupid money for things where you have a much cheaper alternative. If enough people stop paying stupid prices then the prices will eventually drop
OK ?
I have no problemdrinking tap water which in Dublin which is clrsner if not cleaner than bottled water.
Doesn’t even look like a spar
We the people have the power to prevent getting fleeced by these rip off retailers. €3 buys two 5 litres drums of mineral water. Let’s get savvy people.

That’s nice, what the breakfast roll like?
Ballygown was always priced for the gullible.
