Most of Europe doesn’t appear to be living with it. Living with it means accepting the risk by taking personal responsibility and getting on with life. It doesn’t mean overarching government meddling and panicking when there is a rise.
I don’t think europeans can ponder anymore. It’s too much work – they have delegated their thinking to their elected overlords.

Czechia just changed the law for how many people are allowed to sit at a table in a restaurant from 6 to 4 people max, that should help stop the spread.
Of course we’ve got to live with it. No virus except smallpox has ever been eliminated. It will become endemic like flu and we should be looking to get to the point where we can treat it like that.
