I’m completely shocked that qualified engineers aren’t lining up in their droves to move into a profession that pays like shit, lacks autonomy and gets treated with disdain by the general public.
School Maths was a perfect microcosm to prepare me for the bullshit of this country. The top 10% got all the resources, top teachers etc.
I can’t remember if having a French teacher for maths or the year of substitutes was more damaging, but I remember the gap between the haves & have nots growing year on year. That was the only real lesson for life
