  1. >Parents should be held accountable for children involved in criminal social media crazes, the chairwoman of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners has said.

No. It’s not policeable by parents short of banning the children from social media. There are billion dollar firms trying to make social media as adictive to children as possible. Single mum turning in a 10 hour day with a 2 hours of commute cannot possibly sit on their kids head and watch their social media all day.

We need to look further up the pipeline and we actually need a major inquiry into social media and its impacts on children in general rather than just because some posh shops

  2. Parents should always be held accountable for their rotten offspring’s crimes. Too many parents are utterly useless and insist their sprog has “a heart of gold” and that “he’s a good boy at heart but easily led astray” when in reality, Hayden is a horrible little bastard.

If the parents got a grand fine each time Kaiden smashed the windows of the post office, or threw rocks at cars from a bridge, or nicked a pair of Nikes, they’d soon keep him in line.

Hit the parents where it hurts–the wallet–and they’ll soon keep Jaiden and Nevaeh in line.
