If he’s committed to a thing is it not guaranteed to be successful?
I don’t understand why they’re worth all this attention.
The ordinary homeless population get almost no mention in our media. Nobody has built a giant barge for them to live on. They just get left to shiver and die on the street, and tough luck, so goes the tacit assumption.
Who knows what diseases they’re suffering? A lot of them were starving to death last time I read.
Why is it only asylum seekers that gets The Guardian and the Gary Linekar types wringing their hands? Aren’t citizens who were born here also human beings that deserve our time and sympathy?
Why do struggling people only get sympathy when they come from beyond our borders? What kind of model is that for a society, if it only cares for you if you’re *not of* the society?
Well he can’t scrap it, it is too high profile and would probably step down.
Why don’t we just steal land from one of the Middle Eastern and African countries that don’t respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence, and create a new country called the United Migrants and then send them all there?
(I’m half-joking)
Its a great miniature of our country right now that the government and media are so dedicated to this one issue, its taken weeks of time and literally millions of pounds…
To… Urm… Put a few dozen people on an accommodation barge.
Like seriously… What the fuck?
Who is this even for at this point?
Probably more people arrived just today on the dinghys than Bibby can accomodate… no idea why media allocate so much time for such an unimportant and resolving absolutely nothing concept…
It’s all a smoke stream. Hotel, floating hotel. No real difference.
