  1. Wut

So basically people that have cash get a message saying no funds, and people with no cash can withdraw? Is it opposite day?

  2. People are eejits they do realise the bank will want this money back?

  3. People will 100% be chased down for this money.

If there’s one system still running strong in the country, it is debt collection by banks.

  4. And they’ll have to pay it all back because the bank records the transactions. Bunch of fools.

  5. People saying that it’s stupid to take some out but realistically it’s more stupid to not. On the off chance that you are one of the lucky few to not get chased down for it, is t it worth it? There’s literally no downside.

  6. I don’t know but doesn’t the bank have to have a lending agreement in place in order to be paid back here? I thought the Central Bank had strict rules in place when it comes to any kind of lending after the Celtic Tiger, one rule being there must be an agreement in place for any kind of lending (loans, overdrafts etc) where both parties must have signed that they understand the terms etc Anyone know for sure if that’s how it works? Curious how the bank is gonna get the money back, or if they even can (legally)

  7. >The fault with the online app allow people who have no money in their account to transfer up to €1,000 into a Revolut account.

Does any one fucking proof read anymore?

  8. Didn’t have guards on the streets defending ATMs to prevent a run on the bank on my Tuesday night bingo card

    Fify

  10. Was parked outside supervalue there a half an hour ago and easily 20 people all withdrew the grand within the 15 minutes I was waiting to collect someone. Wouldn’t say a single one was over 22, they’ll be getting chased to fuck for that money in no time.

  11. Why or how would anyone think they will be able to hold onto this money??

  12. Something similar happened me years ago. It was giving out €50 instead of €20 notes. A couple of mates and I milked it until our accounts ran dry.

Nothing ever happened and we’re up a few hundred quid! What a great summer that was.

  13. My friend said that a lad at the pub took out €5,000 across several accounts. He’s offering free pints at local pub at the moment.

All these fools don’t realise the bank will have forced overdraft with huge fees to pay back.

  14. Ah feck sake this BOI “IT blunder” doesn’t happen to affect AIB accounts does it? Asking for a broke ass friend /s

  15. Why would you go to an ATM or even try withdraw knowing you have no money?

  16. I can’t even log into my app it just goes white screen when I open it. I didn’t know there was anything wrong until I tried to log in. I used my card today and it worked fine that was around 4pm.
