3. It is rumored that Brâncoveanu had to see all of his male sons except the youngest, how they were beheaded after refusing to convert to islam. Then, it was ordered for his skin to be removed as a method of execution. There is also mentioned in the popular story about his execution that one particular rroma woman managed to replace the voivode’s youngest son with her own.
