The last NATO enlargements were in 2017 (Montenegro) and 2020 (North Macedonia). Both nowhere near Russia, and over a year ago. It is ridiculous that this suddenly means that this month, December 2021, NATO enlargement, nowhere near Russia, is a crisis requiring potential invasions. Completely ridiculous. It wasn’t a crisis then, so why now? Simple justification for a petty, made up crisis, all in this guy’s head.
The west needs to make clear that an invasion of Ukraine will mean sanctions like the world has never imagined before. What will happen should be communicated ahead of time. Included should be out right seizure of all assets of thr oligarchs – mansions, stocks, football clubs. Make the oligarchs sweat, so they can ramp up the pressure on this dangerous, delusional idiot.
