This weekend was one of the hottest days I remember in my entire life. And it’s august. Madrid is always empty in August. It’s the best month to visit it. Enjoy! You’re very welcome here!
Just arrived on Sat. Albeit it’s scorching out, it’s absolutely beautiful seeing the empty-ish streets. Plenty of photo ops (pardon my tourist self haha).

July and august is when most of the locals flee to the coast, and the few that didn’t are hid in their local pools.
