So the French would rather buy a car that’s basically an older model Renault. Maybe the newer Renault’s are too expensive?
I wonder if Lada is seeing a similar surge, considering they have essentially the same business model.
Either way, F to Olcit. Poor fucks.
It would appear people value cheap, simple reliable cars without all the bells and whistles. Who could have thought
Thank you French customers. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you.
May you find great value for your hard earned cash.
❤️❤️❤️
Why spending more money for something that you use only for ~4.16% of the year. Better invest that money in a good mattress/bed where you spend 30% of your lifetime 😉
They’re launching an affordable 7 seater SUV!?!?
I can definitely see the appeal of the brand. Wide range of vehicles at decent prices.
Aside from the price, currently with the chip shortage the waiting times for a new car ( if even available) go through the roof. Prices of secondhand cars are going up too.
Maybe then to buy a cheaper new car that also ticks all the requirements ( and ignoring the prestige / status of a more premium brand) becomes an even more smart step. And because the option list on a Dacia is less limited (in regard with chip shortage ) it’s just a normal consequence of todays situation.
Great news!
Good priced cars, but they don’t score well when it comes to safety.
Discounted Renault..
It’s somewhat of a stereotype but there’s also a lot of truth to it, the French care about the beauty and quality of so many things, far more than us, but they don’t give a single solitary fuck about cars. Cheap and functional, that’s all, and Dacia does it better than anyone, they’re one of the most reliable brands in the world in WhatCar’s ranking, Renault are okay, Peugeot are complete shit.
If you have any self esteem left you don’t drive around in a Dacia
I mean, Renault owns Dacia…
Watch the new Grand Tour special and this will make perfect sense
I remember back in 2007 when Dacia Logan had just been launched and my father bought one and we used it for going from Brasov(center of Romania ) to Paris . In Paris i felt like an alien in that car , i’ve seen 2 or 3 Dacias in the span of 2 weeks . Now i guess they’re the most common sight . Also on german autobahn everybody was overtaking us like we were using a carriage not a fuel propelled car . But it did the job in the end.
The new Sandero it the best buy that you can get for your money in the small hatchback segment, no surprises there.
The VW group used to hold that crown for quite some time (through their VW, Skoda and Seat brands, I own a small Seat hatchback myself) but in the last few years (at least 5, I’d say) the quality-per-price ratio has dropped significantly, i.e. the prices have gotten more and more expensive with, in many cases, less quality (most of the latest Seat Ibizas only have plastic interiors, no textile-sh material anywhere on the doors).
