  2. If France doesn’t reverse engineer it in a decade, I would be incredibly disappointing.

    That being said, wish there was a desire for other countries to join in, let alone ability. Can’t have France have all the nuclear-powered fun.

    Interestingly, only 2 catapults instead of the original 3 planned.

    According to Xavier Vavasseur, the reason is not so much cost. It is about “below deck space footprint”. To the naval architects, the second bow catapult below the flight deck was taking too much space… space which they needed for “something else”. They didn’t give him anymore details than that, so we don’t know what they have in mind yet.

  5. EUROPEANS are the weirdest people ever. They watch 2 episodes of the Simpsons and they think they’re an expert in American life. We pay for your defense. I (as a taxpayer) pay for your defense. Tbh tho, you people are all bark no bite. It’s called little man complex. Your so insignificant and so deeply insecure and troubled that you’ll bark at your defender (the US) like a little Chihuahua. We saved you two times so you wouldn’t kill each other, than we built you back up
    (marshal plan). After doing all that we were so generous to than save you from the communists. You people are a very uncivilized people with experience. That’s it. Most of you have a deep inferiority complex disguised as a superiority complex. You watch our movies, you listen to our misc, you use our brands, and you use our slang. It’s strange because you care so much about our like, culture, politics, etc while the average American couldn’t tell you who the prime minister of the UK is. It’s not because they’re dumb or ignorant (probably much smarter than you) it’s because you don’t matter to them. You don’t effect how we live. You’re just another continent with some historical connections to us. That’s it!

    I probably have only ate the pop-tarts the rest are just very exotic for the average person. Listen, nothing is wrong with liking American stuff or watching American movies, I mean we do the same. We love German made cars, we like Japanese anime, some like to go to Paris for a romantic honeymoon, etc. My case is that America has a direct impact on your day-to-day life while European or foreign countries don’t have any influence over us or if any, it be little.

    Those movies are almost all American, by virtue of watching those movies, using our brands, listening to our music, using our social media apps, and having a *direct* political, economical, and culturally influence on them, they will think they know a lot about America whilst not having any remote understanding of our culture whatsoever. That’s why kids in Paris, London, Geneva, Berlin, Moscow have probably daydreamed about going to LA or NYC.
