On the 30th of April 2008 the Italian government decided to publish a website with a form to view the 2005 tax information of any Italian citizen, considering it as pertaining to the public relationship between them and the State; however sadly it lasted less than a day because of enormous traffic, and it was shut down by the courts. Some countries do publish the tax records of their citizens.
