There are some posts appearing suggesting the Russians Units have been split into two separate groupings due to the Ukrainian advance. This is allowing the Ukrainians to push at the “seam” between these two groupings and has started pushing them apart hence why Tokmak is now within Tube artillery range.
“The massive Ukrainian casualties” line usually comes just before the “redeploying to more advantageous positions” and is rapidly followed by “a good will gesture”.
It does appear the Russians are starting to crack time will tell as always
