Nice we need a better immigration policy to solve labor shortage in the short term and this is a good step in that direction.
Laws like this is the pull factor that lead to mass migration to Europe, all the deaths in the Medditeranean is on countries like Germany with laws like this.
I think giving them citizenship can hinder integration process. I think permanent residency is better option. This is probably result of European left parties using Erdoğan method to gain new voters.
Also this can increase AFD votes.

I’m actually quite happy about this. I have a bunch of foreign friends (koreak, ukrainian, turkish, among others) that are living here since getting their degrees at german unis. Right now its an absolute hassle for them. Most of them want to get their citizenship ASAP and all of them are highly skilled workers. Good that they can now get it sooner.
They need the beneficiaries of their social policies as voters, as the polls show they are loosing their traditional voters to the far right.
