Also, since RO & BG are legally obligated to join Schengen and they are also meeting all criteria, then Austria & Netherlands are doing something illegal.

Well did anything happened since last year for them to change their position? All I’ve seen so far were angry posts on the internet. No attempts at diplomacy or some sort negotiations. As if these things will solve themselves on their own.
How else would they please their masters from Moscow?
Didn’t the other countries agree to let them in? 440 million people being overruled by 9 million. How does only 1 small country have an issue but others don’t. This veto system has to go, it really hinders progress and is so easy to abuse.

Austria’s biggest fear is that Hungary just lets all illegal migrants through to “Western” Europe without registration, and that Germany closes its borders and hundreds of thousands of illegals will be “stuck” in Austria again just like in 2015.
Germany just renewed border controls to Austria, which it has had since 2015.
Hungary just released almost 1500 convicted human traffickers (mostly Serbs, Romanian, Ukrainians) from prison. Many of them were caught transporting migrants toward Austria
None of this is the fault of the average Romanians and Bulgarians, but nothing is going to change because there will be elections in Austria next year and the far-right is leading the polls with the usual right-wing topics (remigration, Anti-EU)
I vote to expel austria from schengen.

If asylum seekers from RO and BG are the problem, why don’t they just accept air travel under Schengen conditions? I guess just opposing without any repercussions goes well with all the nationalist (cough nazi) voters over there.
